　　Louise Bourgeois, as one of the most significant artists of the modern era, has developed a unique artistic and cultural voice through her crafts of writing, drawing, sculpture, and installation space-making. Although her position and influence within the discipline of Architecture is blurry and distant, this lecture's impulse is to uncover and understand her work through the expanded lense of architecture--form and shape, material and craft, intention and articulation, spatial composition,and their cultural significance at large. Through an in-depth look into her enigmatic world and the oeuvre she has created, and intertwining it with a close examination of the trajectory she has marked, we seek to foretell new possibilities in composing that "new realm of action" in our architectural production, forming new metaphors to mark necessary and profound cross-disciplinary intersections.
