　　讲座简介：

　　维欧莱-勒-迪克是法国十九世纪的杰出建筑师与史学家。他在四处奔波的一生中，无论在书房里，还是在旅途中、工地上甚至是给亲朋写的私信里，都一直在画。绘画在维欧莱-勒-迪克的理论思考与修复项目中扮演了重要角色，他一直将绘画当作扩展人类视域的手段。在临终之作《如何学习绘画》中，他曾声称“画即我观，观可格物”，认为人类能够通过掷笔于纸的深入观察而获得知识。总体来看，他的画非常多样，典雅、精确与诙谐共存。这当中能看到朦胧光影造就的氛围、漫画式的变形、解剖后的建筑肌体关系、历史遗产的想象性旧貌，等等。本讲座思考维欧莱-勒-迪克的绘画手段，并呈现他如何遵循格言“无日不工线描”来将绘画练就成为一门独有的手工艺。

　　Brief Introduction:

　　The prominent French architect and historian Viollet-le-Duc, a man on the move, had kept drawing not only in his study, but also during voyages, on construction sites and even in letters to his families and intimates. Playing a critical role in both theoretical thinking and restoration projects, drawing was utilized by Viollet-le-Duc as a means to prolong the horizon of man. He once proclaimed “to draw is to see, and to see is to know” in his last book How to learn drawing, revealing that human knowledge could be achieved through an in-depth observation by thrusting pen onto paper. In general, his drawings are characterized by variation, a coexistence of elegance, precision and humor. It could be found in them ambience presented by translucent light and shadow, distortion in caricatures, anatomical architectural organs, the imaginary appearance of a patrimony, etc. This lecture reflects on the drawing methods adopted by Viollet-le-Duc, and presents how it had become his own handicraft through his dictum “never a day without a line”.
