老城更新的背景

北京胡同里鳞次栉比的四合院落空间承载了这座城市最本源的记忆。公规院总部办公区源起前炒面胡同33号院，位于北京二环城区历史文化街区范围内，占地面积约3300平方米，这里是第一代公规院人梦开始的地方。院中的一砖一瓦彰显了老北京建筑的灵魂，也蕴藏了公规院68年的历史。在古城更新背景下，园区改造需要尽量保持建筑外观和院落布局，这促使我们加深了对古城保护更新的理解。

Background of Old City Renewal
The labyrinthine courtyards of Beijing's hutongs carry the city's most original memories. The headquarters of CCCC HIGHWAY CONSULTANTS CO.,LTD. originated from Courtyard No. 33, a historical and cultural district within Beijing's Second Ring Road, covering an area of approximately 3,300 square meters. It was the place where the first generation of Gonggui Yuan members began their dreams. Every brick and tile in the courtyard embodies the essence of old Beijing architecture and holds the 68-year history of Gonggui Yuan. Amidst the backdrop of renewing the old city, the transformation of the park required preserving the exterior appearance and layout of the courtyard, deepening our understanding of conserving and renewing the old city.

历史变迁的矛盾
        
最初院区是个青砖灰瓦围合的两进四合院，古木衬托出静谧的环境；但随着园区的改建，合院主楼被八层办公楼取代，园区铺装沥青路面成为了园区的停车场，绿地空间局促，院落古色古香的空间氛围感全然丧失。

Contradictions of Historical Changes
The original campus was a traditional Chinese courtyard with gray-tiled walls made of blue bricks. The ancient trees added to the tranquil atmosphere. However, with the redevelopment of the campus, the main courtyard building was replaced by an eight-story office building. The asphalt pavement became the parking lot, and the green space became cramped. The nostalgic atmosphere of the courtyard was completely lost.

为了兼顾院落的历史价值与办公属性，改造目标是保留场地特质，延续历史风韵，彰显企业文化形象，同时满足企业办公使用需求。设计团队深入研究了公规院及场地的历史和风貌变迁，将公规院“窄胡同，宽天下”的文化底蕴与古典园林造园理念融入院落空间景观设计。以“宽窄涟庭”的设计理念，写意庭院空间美学，彰显公规人穿行于山水之间，逢山开路，遇水架桥的职业精神。


空间重塑，四大场景营造

重塑二进院落的庭院空间序列，营造见山堂、乐水庭、山水卷、同心园四大空间场景，构建院落“公规十景”，像一幅徐徐展开的山水画卷，在庭院之中讲述公规院的故事。

1、见山堂

主入口沿斜坡向上行走，开门见山，故名为见山堂。步入见山堂，院门口伫立着两只自明代起就在此佑护的石狮子，见证着企业发展历程。门廊连接两侧保护建筑，延续传统古建悬山顶形式，汲取广亮大门特点，围合形成的厅堂具有风雨廊的功能。

In order to balance the historical value of the courtyard with its office function, the renovation goal is to preserve the site's characteristics, continue its historical charm, and showcase the corporate culture image, while meeting the needs of office use. The design team conducted in-depth research on the history and changes of the courtyard and site, integrating the cultural heritage of the courtyard's narrow alleyways and the concept of classical garden landscaping. With the design concept of "wide and narrow linked courtyards," the aesthetic of the courtyard space is expressed, highlighting the professional spirit of navigating through mountains and rivers, paving the way through mountains, and bridging the water.

Space Reconstruction and Creation of Four Major Scenes
The redesign of the courtyard space in the two-courtyard compound aims to create a sequence of courtyard spaces, including the "Jianshan Hall," "Lesui Courtyard," "Shanshui Scroll," and "Tongxin Garden." These four major spatial scenes are designed to construct the "Ten Scenic Views of the Courtyard," resembling a gradually unfolding landscape painting that tells the story of the courtyard.

1.Viewing Mountain Hall
The main entrance ascends along a slope, offering a view of the mountains upon opening the door, hence the name "Jianshan Hall." Upon entering Jianshan Hall, two stone lion statues, which have been guarding the entrance since the Ming Dynasty, stand tall, bearing witness to the company's development over the years. The porch connects and protects the buildings on both sides, following the traditional architectural style of suspended mountain roofs and incorporating the characteristics of Guangliang-style grand gates. The enclosed hall formed by this design serves as a sheltered corridor, providing protection from wind and rain.

盈门望入，松峰映壁，起到影壁作用，阻隔南北门之间的对冲气流，使气流绕影壁而行，聚气则不散。松石成景，在园区中亦有点景的作用。

Upon entering, one can gaze through the hall to see the pine peak reflected on the wall, acting as a barrier to block the opposing airflow between the north and south gates, allowing the airflow to flow around the reflection and gather without dispersion. The combination of pine trees and stones in the landscape also serves as a decorative element within the office park area.

清辉洒落，光与竹交汇重影映于堂间，营造出清新和煦，恬淡宁静的意境。从入口转入风雨廊，可见企业标识置于阵列的木纹铝方通之上，具有导视作用。

Soft light sprinkles down, where light and bamboo intertwine, casting shadows in the hall, creating a fresh and warm, serene and tranquil atmosphere. As you turn from the entrance into the wind and rain corridor, you'll notice the company's logo displayed on the arrayed wood grain aluminum grille, serving as a wayfinding element.

2、乐水庭

风雨廊复行数十步，豁然开朗，置身乐水庭间，全园铺装和弧形绿篱共同形成了水面涟漪，把公规人的记忆与初心化作水滴，在庭院中央激起阵阵涟漪，寓意着滴水入世界，交融天下的文化意蕴。

绿地围合的涌泉水景作为乐水庭核心景观，是园区最聚人气的中心绿地。员工在五角枫树下临流而坐，放松身心，静水面反射出五角枫四时变化的倒影。中心水景模拟时光齿轮转动，在石刻齿轮上镌刻着“固基修道，履方致远”、“交融天下，建者无疆”等企业文化标语，与潺动的流水汇成的灵动场景寓意了企业文化源远流长。

2.Joyful Water Courtyard
Continuing along the wind and rain corridor, one suddenly opens up to the Joyful Water Courtyard, where the entire garden pavement and curved green hedges form ripples on the water's surface. This represents the memories and original intentions of Gonggui Yuan turning into water droplets, creating ripples in the central courtyard, symbolizing the integration of cultures from all over the world.
The central water feature enclosed by greenery is the core landscape of the Joyful Water Courtyard, serving as the most vibrant center green space of the park. Employees can sit by the flowing stream under the five-cornered maple tree, relaxing their minds, while the calm water surface reflects the changing seasons of the five-cornered maple. The central water feature imitates the movement of a time gear, with cultural slogans of the enterprise engraved on the stone gear, such as "Solid Foundation and Self-cultivation, Achieving Far-Reaching Goals," and "Integrating the World, Building without Boundaries," creating a lively scene along with the flowing water.

钢制标语 “工于创新，规以致远”立于主楼前的中心广场福池中，古榆树与”福池“对景对话，呈现堂前聚水的福泽景象。整个空间在丁香花的环绕中，伴随着清风与流水，香气扑面而来。

A steel-made slogan, "Innovation in Work, Success through Rules," stands in the center of the main building's square fountain. The ancient elm tree engages in a dialogue with the "Fuchi" (a symbol of good fortune), creating a scene of auspiciousness with water gathering in front of the hall. The entire space is surrounded by lilac flowers, accompanied by a gentle breeze and flowing water, with a delightful fragrance in the air.

3、山水卷

山水石屏环绕乐水庭院，以中国古典园林设计手法，划分院落动静空间，象征企业从窄胡同走向宽天下的历史进程。外侧乐水宽庭作为主要的展示性和开放性的场所，而内院窄庭空间幽静自然，形成静谧宜人的休憩院落。山水石屏的空间分隔不仅丰富了庭院层次，还合理规划了院落人流动线，使企业员工在日常工作中品味院落丰富的空间变化和景观感受。

石屏采用框景、漏景和借景的手法，局部镂空且搭配竹木，虚实的变化体现了空间的艺术性和节奏感。古意新用，运用参数化设计手法，设定不同青砖起伏角度，营造出生动的山水意境，随着太阳光线变化产生富有韵律的光影层次。石屏前种植五福名木，有玉兰（福）、海棠（禄）、青松（寿）、紫荆（喜）和石榴（财），表达了对企业发展的祈愿。

3.Mountain and Water Scroll
The courtyard is surrounded by a landscape of mountains, water, and stone screens, designed in the style of classical Chinese gardens. It divides the courtyard into areas of activity and tranquility, symbolizing the historical process of the enterprise moving from narrow alleys to a broader world. The main showcase and open space is the spacious and inviting water courtyard, while the inner courtyard features narrow and tranquil spaces, creating a peaceful and pleasant resting place. The spatial division created by the landscape of mountains, water, and stone screens not only enriches the levels of the courtyard but also plans the flow of people within the courtyard, allowing employees to appreciate the diverse spatial changes and landscape experiences in their daily work.
The rock screens adopt framing, revealing, and borrowing techniques, with partial hollowing and bamboo-wood combination, showcasing the artistic and rhythmic aspects of the space. Utilizing parametric design techniques, the ancient concept is applied in a novel way, setting different angles for the blue bricks to create a vivid mountain and water atmosphere, producing a rhythmic play of light and shadows with the changing sunlight. Five auspicious trees, including magnolia (Fortune), crabapple (Salary), pine (Longevity), Bauhinia (Happiness), and pomegranate (Wealth), are planted in front of the rock screens, expressing good wishes for the enterprise's development.

内院空间里，春可赏花（梅花、杏花、紫荆、海棠、樱花、桃花），秋可观果（山楂、柿子、石榴），象征一代代公规人把青春芳华投身交通事业，结出硕果的奉献精神。

In the narrow courtyard, one can enjoy various blossoms in spring (plum blossoms, apricot blossoms, Bauhinia, crabapple, cherry blossoms, and peach blossoms) and admire the fruits in autumn (hawthorn, persimmon, pomegranate), symbolizing the dedication of generations of Gonggui Yuan people to the transportation industry and the fruits of their efforts.

4、同心园

漫步庭院，树冠如亭。施工细节决定品质，整体铺装采用参数化模块定制，宽窄弧面的变化搭配，形成水波回荡的空间效果。整个院落在“玉树亭”中向心聚合，又随涟漪状铺装发散开来。榆（玉）树下的同心圆似年轮，诉说着公规院的悠久历史。

4.Concentric Garden
Walking through the courtyard, the treetops form like pavilions. The quality of the construction is determined by the details, and the overall paving adopts a parametric module customization, with changes in width and curve, creating a spatial effect of water rippling. The entire courtyard converges in the "Jade Tree Pavilion" and then diverges with the ripples of the pavement. The concentric circles under the elms (jade trees) resemble tree rings, narrating the long history of Gonggui Yuan.

傍晚时分，庭院以轮廓、投光、内透等照明手法强化空间序列感，烘托交流的氛围。水滴般的灯光跃然于涟漪铺装之上，树枝摇曳，灯光闪烁，如星空洒落，留下时光印记。

In the evening, the courtyard enhances the sense of spatial sequence through contour lighting, projection lighting, and interior transparency, creating an atmosphere for communication. Droplet-like lights leap on the ripple pavement, with tree branches swaying and lights flickering like stars falling, leaving traces of time.

整个改造项目以老城保护为基调，一草一木都延续与传承着公规院的历史。富有意境的庭院空间，使整体人居环境得到改善，在北京胡同的烟火气中能够寻觅着宽窄涟庭的诗意与恬静。

The entire renovation project adheres to the preservation of the old city as its foundation, with every blade of grass and tree continuing and inheriting the history of Gonggui Yuan. The artistic courtyard spaces improve the overall living environment, allowing one to seek the poetic and serene beauty of the Wide and Narrow Linked Courtyards amidst the smoky atmosphere of Beijing's hutongs.
