mirrored M+ pavilion completes in hong kong's west kowloon cultural district

香港西九龙文化区（WKCD）宣布“M+博物馆”竣工，它是新兴艺术中心第一个用于展览和活动的永久性场所。西九龙文化区有一系列影院和表演场所，能创作并主办演出和文化展，提供23公顷的公共露天场所，其中包括两公里长的海滨长廊。

hong kong’s west kowloon cultural district (WKCD) has announced the completion of ‘M+ pavilion’, the first permanent venue for exhibitions and events in the emerging art hub. with a complex of theaters and performance spaces, WKCD will produce and host performances and cultural displays, providing 23 hectares of public open space, including a two kilometer waterfront promenade.

该博物馆的设计团队包括VPANG建筑事务所、JET事务所的tynnon chow和lisa cheung。设计团队于2014年1月获得国际设计竞赛一等奖，之后被委任设计这座博物馆。建筑位于“艺术公园”内，能使人们从繁忙的城市生活中暂时解脱。

the pavilion has been designed by the collaborative team of VPANG architects, tynnon chow from JET architecture, and lisa cheung. the design team was appointed to design the pavilion after achieving first prize in an international design competition in january 2014. the structure is located within the ‘art park’, offering a respite from hectic city life.

镜面外墙不但映照出周围的景观，而且使建筑融入环境。博物馆的主要展览空间被抬高，浮在植物上方。这允许人们在香港岛天际线的背景下鉴赏艺术品，远望天际线能看到维多利亚港。走廊空间的特色是抛光混凝土地板和白色墙壁。

mirrored external walls both reflect the surrounding landscape and immerse the building within its setting. the pavilion’s main exhibition space is elevated, allowing it to float above the foliage. this allows artwork to be appreciated against the backdrop of the hong kong island skyline with views of victoria harbour. the gallery space features polished concrete floors and white walls.

M+博物馆是香港的视觉文化博物馆，是世界上最大的现代和当代视觉文化博物馆之一。该博物馆位于海滨公园附近，由赫尔佐格和德梅隆事务所设计，计划在2019年开放。可以参看designboom以前对该项目的报道。
