Yoh Komiyama uses Japanese hardwood to create minimalist climbing toy for cats

Yom Komiyama 的这座多层猫爬架的设计灵感来源于现代主义特点，它由大理石基底所锚定的木制木钉组合而成。

Neko猫爬架由日本设计师Yom Komiyama为制造商Rinn设计，为猫咪提供一个隐蔽的空间，同时也可以作为家里的装饰物。

This multi-storey cat tree by Yoh Komiyama was inspired by modernism and features a series of wooden dowels anchored by a marble base.
The Neko Cat Tree was created by Japanese designer Yoh Komiyama for manufacturer Rinn and is designed to offer a private space for cats, while also acting as a decorative object for inside the home.

这种三层的猫爬架由多根日本硬木棒组成，木材来源于日本的Hida地区。

每个木棒分开放置并固定围合成圆柱形，确保光线可以进入内部空间，并且可以让人看一看猫咪在爬架里面玩些什么。

The three-tiered tree is comprised of multiple rods of Japanese hardwood, sourced from the country's Hida region.
Each of the rods are spaced out and positioned in a cylindrical form, ensuring light enters the interior space, and allowing a glimpse in and out of the tree.

该公司设计师表示：“每个圆形之间的缝隙可以让人看见爬架里面的情形，从而表达了猫与人之间的相互联系，也促进了两者之间的亲密关系。”

"The spaces in between each cylindrical post provide glimpses, and thus convey the mutual presence, of both cat and human, maintaining a furtive connection between the two for a greater intimacy," said the company.
This structure is supported by a central pillar wrapped in hemp cord, which doubles up as a scratching post for the felines.

Inside, teardrop-shaped pieces of grey Kvadrat felt partially cover each of the three floors, offering the cats a comfortable sleeping surface, while holes cut out of each tier allow them to easily travel between each floor.
One of the sides of the structure can also be opened up like a door, to provide easy access to the interior.

受到现代主义的启发，Komiyama选择将冷白色大理石与暖色木材结合使用。

Inspired by modernism, Komiyama chose to use minimal materials – opting for a warm-coloured wood that clashes with the cool white marble.
According to Rinn, this mixture of marble and natural wood expresses a "cultural fusion between the wooden materials of the East, and the stone materials of the West."

Rinn isn't the first company offering tasteful design for our feline and canine counterparts. New brand Dote has just launched a range of pet accessories made from recycled materials, while Nendo's range of Cubic pet accessories is designed to complement minimal interiors.
