From the architect. The land of the Bahar House is situated in a relatively cheap area inNajafabad in the Isfahan province. The clients were a family of four, who aimed to have a two-story house due to the small size of the land; the ground floor for parents and upstairs for children.

考虑到项目东西侧的不同长度，我们必须建立有两个不同侧面的房屋，东侧更长，西侧更短。这使我们将建筑分成两个功能区：公共空间，包括厨房、客厅和迎宾厅，位于西侧；私人空间如卧室和洗手间位于东侧。分成两个部分使得我们能在上层组织空间，布置部分公共区域，在视觉上连接两个楼层。

Given different lengths of the east and west sides of the project, we had to set up the house with two different sides, more on the east and less on the west. This motivated us to divide the building into two functional areas: the public spaces including kitchen, living room, and the guest hall on the east and private spaces such as bedrooms and toilets on the west. This division into two parts enabled us to organize spaces on the upper floor, allocating part of the public area to the void to connect the two levels visually.

通过楼体间隙进入房屋。在入口，雕塑般的楼梯分隔一楼的私人和公共空间，将架空层和房屋的整体几何结构相连。在房屋的尽头，沿着平分建筑的空间，我们建造延伸到楼上的小院，形成露台。在纳杰法巴德位朝北的房屋，考虑到从房屋前方的直视，南部庭院通常没用。尽管事实如此，但是项目庭院给客厅和迎宾厅提供了到北院花圃花盆的视野，还能看到天空，甚至当房屋的南部窗帘落下的时候也可以。

Entering the house happens through the volume gap. At the entrance, a statue-like staircase separates the private and public spaces of the ground floor, linking the empty space of the void with the overall geometry of the house. At the end of the house, along the spaces that halve the building, we created a small yard that extends to the upper floor to shape a terrace. In the north-positioned houses of Najafabad, given the direct view from the houses in front, the southern yard is usually not usable.In spite of this fact, the yard of our project provides the living room and the guest hall with a view to the flowerbed and flowerpots of the northern yard and the sky, even when the southern curtains of the house bring down.

最后，项目立面覆盖着白色水泥，因为委托方预算有限，并且可能实现光滑的曲面。巴哈尔住宅内外和谐，现在已经成为响应客户需求的整体。

Finally, the project façade was covered with white cement due to the client’s limited budget and the possibility of implementing smooth curved surfaces. Harmonized with inside and outside, the Bahar House has now turned into an integrated volume in response to the client’s needs.
