Polish Architect Releases Time-lapse Videos for Her Brilliant Watercolor Sketches of Famous Landmarks

Nothing beats a well-executed architecture sketch painted by the artistic hands of a talented architect. So, here we introduce you to Polish architect and illustrator Maja Wronska. The Warsaw-based architect paints the most exquisite sketches of famous landmarks and cityscapes using water colors. Wronska’s unique style reflects the colors of the buildings at different times of the day, depicting not just the architecture but the color of the atmosphere, and the overall result is quite mesmerizing.

Wronska’s works, so far, have included illustrations of world famous landmarks like the Tower Bridge, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and Basilica di San Marco. She has also painted the cityscapes of Venice, Athens, and New York, among many other world cities.

Some of the architect’s most extraordinary sketches are those portraying the various magnificent landmarks of London and their surrounding cityscape. She has even released time-lapse videos for those sketches, revealing the process which created the almost magical pieces of art.
She depicted the historical architecture of London in her illustrations of the Palace of Westminster and the Tower Bridge during the sunset.
She also featured the city’s contemporary architecture in her sketch of the 30 St. Mary Axe, known as the Gherkin, the Leadenhall Building, and their surroundings.
