项目包括41类，分为以下三大类：

年度最佳设计师的作品将面向全世界观众展示，设计师将获得AAP奖杯，并在接下来一年里获得广泛的宣传机会，同时，获奖者还具有以下奖励：
—受邀参加AAP优胜者活动。
—在新闻宣传活动中，向世界各地成千上万的设计专业人士、媒体和潜在客户提供专业服务。
—个人简介列入 AAP在线建筑目录。
—获奖人物及作品将在AAP建筑书籍中进行介绍。- AAP获胜者证书和印章。

The American Architecture Prize celebrates creativity and innovation in the fields of architectural design, landscape architecture, and interior design. AAP welcomes submissions from architects all around the world.

Projects can be submitted into 41 categories falling under three main disciplines:
- Architecture
- Interior Architecture
- Landscape Architecture

The AAP Architect of the Year winners have their work showcased to a worldwide audience, receive the AAP trophy, and enjoy extensive publicity through out a year in addition to the following benefits:
- invitation to the AAP Winners Event,
- inclusion in the press campaign directed to hundreds of thousands of design professionals, press, and potential clients worldwide,
- a profile in the AAP online architecture directory,
- featured in the AAP Book of Architecture,
- the AAP Winners Certificate & Seal to promote winning.
