hawa beirut is a lightweight, airy furniture collection by interior architect and product designer richard yasmine. the pieces reference elements of lebanese architecture, specifically arches, which are considered a trade mark of the country’s cultural heritage.

the collection will be showcased during milan design week 2018 and features a set of chairs, one with upholstery and one without, a table that can be flipped upside down and a decorative screen panel. the designer added handmade, silk-braided cords and tassels, pink marble and traditionally crafted stained-glass inserts to the powder-coated steel and fabric pieces. a nostalgic yet harmonious reflection of its cultural history, hawa beirut acts as link between past, present and future generations.
