Thai Food Show is a Thai-style tea restaurant with a distinctive brand culture. It caters to the needs of young consumer groups for unique catering brands. With “Eat Like a Local ”as the main concept, it breaks the traditional tea restaurant by creating a pure oriental retro style dining space. The mediocre and noisy, while retaining its life's pyrotechnic atmosphere, while concocting a young and fashionable fun indoor environment.It started in Xi'an, and after traveling through five cities, it ushered in a new space cooperation between us and it in Nanjing, giving diners the opportunity to have a tongue adventure in the exquisite space.

坐落在秦淮区来凤街的太食獸选址于一片工业厂房改造的创意园内，前身是建于上个世纪八十年代的南京第二机床厂。2012年金基集团“国创园”的改造激活了这片工业遗存的活力，既能保存历史文化记忆，又能整合文化创意产业与在地商业价值的生产。太食獸的设计构思意图以美食作为介质，与在地的后工业文化做交互，为南京的城市饮食基因注入东南亚的美食烟火气。

Located in Laifeng Street, Qinhuai District, Thai Food Show is located in an industrial plant renovation creative park. The predecessor is Nanjing Second Machine Tool Factory. The designer of Taishiju intends to use food as a medium to interact with the local post-industrial culture, and to inject the gastronomic smoke of Southeast Asia into Nanjing's food city genes.

空间临近园区边界的主干道，隔路与住宅社区相呼应，人车往来相对频繁，在入口处我们将候客区域打开，利用野蛮生长的绿植营造出的开放景观，在非营业时间亦能作为邀人停留的公共露台，同时在立面呈现上与红砖厂房做亲切联结。在商业属性之外，过渡空间对人群与公共街道也具有包容性。顶檐上出挑的巨兽装置在增强太食獸品牌视觉形象的同时，亦能作为沿街迎客吉物，蜿蜒出休憩地带的俏皮奇观，在拥有众多文化企业的创业园中仍以活泼的形象打破园区日常的秩序。

The space is close to the main road at the boundary of the Pioneer Park, which echoes the residential community across the road, and people and vehicles are relatively frequent. At the entrance, we open the waiting area and use the open landscape created by green plants. It can also be used as a public terrace for inviting people to stay during non-business hours. At the same time, it is cordially connected with the red brick factory in the facade presentation. In addition to the operating attributes, enhance the inclusiveness of the space itself to the crowd and public streets. The overhanging giant beast installation on the top eaves not only enhances the visual image of the Taishi beast brand, but also serves as a welcoming mascot along the street.

在老厂房的空间处理上，我们尽量对原始构架与墙面顶面的斑驳质感做保留尊重。富含年代肌理的工业建筑使得餐厅空间外观更具观赏趣味性，繁而不杂的环境营造与历史遗留氛围做联结，交融形成的整体关系激活场地的新生命力，也呼应国创园与这片工业遗存的新旧相承的关系。

In the space treatment of the old factory, we try our best to retain and respect the mottled texture of the original structure and the top surface of the wall. The industrial building with rich age texture makes the appearance of the restaurant space more enjoyable and interesting. The environment creation echoes the historical legacy. The overall relationship activates the vitality of the site, and also reflects the old and new relationship between the National Innovation Park and this industrial relic.

走入室内用餐空间，墨绿色的空间基调契合后工业感浓郁的厂房框架氛围，纹理鲜明的餐桌椅搭配沿墙布置的红色皮质沙发。水泥灰色的原始墙面衬托出木质老家具的年代质感，海外所淘的骨瓷餐具彰显店主的审美品味。通透的门窗将室外光线充分引入，使其在茂盛的室内植物间散漫地映射在斑驳的墙面与地面上，随着时间的流转，食客们能在氛围轻松的双层空间中畅享美食。

Into the interior dining space, dark green tone retro space tonality, with respect preserved historic space atmosphere, soft texture red leather sofa along the wall in dinette arrangement. The original mottled cement-grey wall is inlaid with original antique furniture. The bone china tableware purchased overseas reflects the design taste of the owner. The transparent doors and windows diffuse the outdoor light among the high-density indoor plants on the mottled wall. . As the time goes by every day, diners can fully enjoy Thai food in the relaxed double-layered space.
