Tehran是一个城市结构分明的大都市，非常热闹。Rooydaad建筑事务所在该地设计了一个5层高的住宅项目，名为5+1住宅，名字来源于设计师对该住宅的美好愿景，即建筑与整个城市环境相互融合，和谐共生。
设计师不再采用传统的设计手法，如墙面粉刷处理或点缀装饰品。设计师在设计该项目时仔细研究了该地的历史文化背景以及建筑特点，使得最终的设计方案能够与当地历史和建筑产生共鸣。Tehran有着悠久的历史背景，设计师因此将该项目想象成沙漠中的绿洲，寓意着为该城市注入新的活力。最终，建筑为绿色景观所环绕，能够更好地适应当地的恶劣气候条件。
Amid Tehran’s bustling urban fabric, a metropolis in perpetual motion, Rooydaad Architects has completed a five-story infill residential project. 5+1 Residence represents a holistic vision of dwelling that harmonizes with the rhythms of contemporary life while forging a symbiotic relationship with the context of the city
Rejecting conventional remedies such as wall treatments or decorative embellishments, the architects sought inspiration from the historical symbiosis of architecture and landscape. Embracing the time-honored tradition of the Persian Bagh, they envisaged a verdant oasis — a living canvas that breathes life into the urban landscape. The result is a green envelop curated to withstand the region’s climatic rigors.

该设计遵循可持续发展原则，设计中的绿植不仅能够使得项目周边的建筑也充满活力，还成为了视觉焦点，给居民带来不一样的城市景观，也为该城市增加了几分宁静感。5+1住宅公寓位于一条长12m的小巷里，东边是庭院，西边和南边是复杂的老旧建筑。
该项目的东边和南边视野开阔，采光充足，但是区域景观不美观。因此，Rooydaad 建筑事务所将重新进行场地规划，提升住户室内外居住体验。
Rooted in sustainable principles, this verdant concept not only enlivens the neighboring architectural tableau but also serves as a visual buffer, shielding inhabitants from unsavory vistas and fostering a sense of tranquility within the urban milieu. 5+1 Residence’s site is ensconced by a 12-meter alley to the east, neighboring courtyards to the north, and a labyrinth of old structures to the west and south.
Although urban constraints provide abundant lighting from the east and south, the scenic beauty of these views is hindered by unsightly surroundings. Despite this, the team at Rooydaad Architects sought to orchestrate an architectural intervention that elevates the sensory experience both internally and externally.

5+1 Residence represents a holistic vision of dwelling in Tehran
5+1住宅公寓的结构采用的是Tehran最新研究的结构体系，业主相信开发商的能力，同意使用该结构体系。但是，该新型结构体系不可避免地会限制建筑师的设计创意。通过多方合作，最终设计方案符合该城市的建设标准，包括建筑密度、可建设范围、消防设计、疏散设计等。
在整个以利益为先的房地产开发背景下，该项目的建成意味着人们愈发注重住宅本身的品质。在伊朗的传统思想中，“家庭”的概念以及“家”中空间的大小已固化，但是，随着新一代住宅的设计出现，该思想慢慢的开始转变，人们开始重新思考“家庭、工作、家”的意义。
5+1 Residence embodies Tehran’s recent trend of creating infill structures that are materialized solely on the foundation of the owner’s trust in the developer, leaving architects with a limited role in these ongoing developments. The project thus adheres to urban regulations and standards, encompassing occupancy levels, permissible construction sites, density restrictions, stairwell enclosure zoning compliant with fire safety regulations, and more.
In its pursuit to elevate architectural quality amidst the backdrop of profit-centric paradigms, the Iranian practice sought to reimagine the essence of residential living within the regional context. Traditionally, the notion of family and their needed space in ‘home’ in Iran has shaped the current trend of houses over the decades. However, with the emergence of a new generation, a cultural shift has begun, altering the meaning of family, work, and ‘home’.

该新型住宅公寓的出现使得“界限”这一容易被忽视的概念得以重新定义。Rooydaad建筑事务所在设计该项目时希望能够通过一种新型居住模式的住宅来解决生活与社会之间的脱节问题。因社会在不断的发展，新型居住模式需要满足现代人们生活的独立性与复杂性以及其它需求。所以，设计师提出了“住宅公寓”的概念，即模糊传统居住空间的界限，使得整个居住空间具有流动性与适应性。
在新型居住模式中，之前较为固化的居住空间将会变得灵活。建筑师认为，居住空间不应是一成不变的，应随着人们生活需求的变化而变化，如一个空间可以在工作场所、活动场所以及聚会场所中根据需求来回切换。
Thus arise new needs in defining this concept, which are often overlooked. Rooydaad Architects looked to address this societal disconnect by crafting a new paradigm of dwelling – one that resonates with the intricacies of modern living and the need for an independent lifestyle. By acknowledging the evolving dynamics of societal structures and embracing the multifaceted needs of contemporary lifestyles, the resultant architectural intervention – ‘house-apartments’ – blurs the delineations of conventional spatial boundaries, ushering in a realm of spatial fluidity and adaptability.
‘Here, the erstwhile rigidity of functional spaces gives way to a transformative narrative. A dwelling seamlessly metamorphoses into a workspace, a sanctuary, or a gathering hub — a tableau in perpetual flux, mirroring the ebb and flow of life itself,’ note the architects.
