李先生牛肉面几乎可以说是中国最大的牛肉面品牌,北京第一家李先生牛肉面1987在东单大街上开业,在此之前李先生创始人从四川重庆铜梁县,解放前夕随父迁至台湾,后赴美求学,加入美国国籍。在美国成立了李先生加州牛肉面(美国加州牛肉面大王)。其在美国加州经营中国快餐一举成名,并被冠予“牛肉面大王”的称号。之后“美国牛肉面大王”在加州迅速发展,1985年回国发展至今已有500家的分店。
本项目坐落于北京崇文门,古鲁奇设计团段期待透过这家新形象店来述说李先生的这段历史,从中国到台湾,再去了美国,世界转了一圈最后回到中国。这段过程有如大时代的小故事,更是那个年代人生的缩影。空间上借鉴了的美国的汉堡店布局,装饰面材料又充满了中国语汇,期待透过这种碰撞给顾客提供独特有趣的用餐体验。
