Ron Arad Architects has unveiled images of an office complex underway in Tel Aviv, which is expected to become the tallest building in Israel.
Currently under construction, ToHA will comprise two glazed towers – a smaller one containing 28 floors and a taller one rising to 63 storeys.
London-based Ron Arad Architects expects the building to overtake the 244-metre-high City Gate Tower as Israel's tallest skyscraper.
该项目是两大投资开发公司的合资项目,建设地址为城市中心的1800平方米的一块场地。
包括建筑面积达16万平方米的两座塔楼在内,该综合体将会拥有三个楼层的公共设施和一个大的屋顶花园。
The project is a joint venture between two large investment and development companies. It is being constructed on an 1,800-square-metre site in the city centre.
As well as the two office towers, which will create 160,000 square-metres of floor space, the complex will boast three storeys of community facilities and a large roof garden.
综合办公楼的部分区域是架空的技术设备区,从而可以在大楼周围或大楼下面建造花园和广场。
Parts of the complex will be raised up on legs containing technical plant areas, making it possible to create gardens and plazas both around and under the towers.
两座塔楼形成角度,设计目的是在为居住者最大化遮阳面积的同时,提供充足的自然光线。
The forms of the two towers will feature angles designed to maximise solar shading for occupants, while also giving them plenty of natural light.
Tel Aviv-born Ron Arad established his London-based architectural firm in 2008.
He trained as an architect at the Architectural Association in London, but moved into industrial design in the early 1980s after discovering a Rover car seat in a local scrapyard and transforming into the iconic Rover Chair.
But he has completed a handful of building projects over the years, including Israel's first design museum. His firm is currently working on a cancer treatment centre in northern Israel.
ToHA is expected to complete in 2018.
