9 Square Center Mall and Residential Towers
Capturing the traffic along the fronting Ren Min Road in the Longhua District of Shenzhen, 9 Square Center Mall (renamed as Rainbow Shopping Mall afterwards) is a new urban setting that features a vibrant entertainment and retail district supported by eight high-rise residential towers.

为响应复杂的功能性,并考虑到基地未来与规划中的地铁站的联系,Laguarda.Low Architects (LLA)将本项目分为两个各自独立而又相辅相成的区域。
To respond to the complex program and the site's future relationship to the planned Metro Station, the project is divided between two distinct yet complementary zones.

零售/娱乐区位于底商中,环绕北侧与西侧临街立面,而南侧与东侧立面内部为垂直分层的停车场,上方为屋顶花园。
The retail/entertainment zone is expressed through a podium that flanks the north and west street facades while a cascading parking structure covered in roof gardens flanks the south and east facades.

龙华九方购物中心的建筑设计颇具当代风范与创新意识,关键是将零售区域与住宅大楼的尺度关系把握得恰到好处。
The architecture of 9 Square Center is contemporary and innovative with key emphasis on tying the scale together between the retail zone and the residential tower zone.

顶棚与垂直翅片共同构成的边界凸显出了入口的位置,这些元素合力减轻了住宅大楼的高不可攀之感,同时也改善了街道上人们的感受。各式各样的面板尺寸和饰面更成为另一种打破形式局限的手段。
Through planar boundaries created by canopies and vertical fins to emphasize the entries, the elements work together to lessen the scale of the towers while further enhancing the experience at the street level. Various panel sizes and finishes are used as a means to further break the forms.

从东南或西南角进入商场,内部高低错落有致,顾客可体验到合理的购物路线安排。
Entering in from the northeast or the southwest corners, shoppers experience a seamlessly linear mall that undulates from entry to entry.

三层高的中央大堂容纳了店铺、餐厅与娱乐场所,更显出人们能够在购物中心内部穿梭自如。
Emphasizing the movement through the mall is a three-story atrium that contains the shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

大堂上方的曲面玻璃屋顶覆盖着购物中心,自然光线洒在地面上,与地面上雕刻了各种花纹的面砖演绎出一道道动人的风景。
A curvilinear roof in the atrium fill the mall with natural light while creating a dynamic play with the rich patterns scribed on the various stone work used to delineate the floor surface.
