SGC House by René Sandoval

From the architect. Situated in the area with the highest residential growth in Guadalajara, the concept of the SGC house is based on one particular strategy based on the analysis of the site and the requirements of the client, the program is divided in two, taking as the central axis the vestibule and vertical circulations, this allows to distribute in a more efficient way the spaces, giving them more useful area and take full advantage of the hallway areas and horizontal circulations.

这样的设计方式使得住宅就像一个散步的场所，从你下车开始或者开始进入住宅的时候，你就会发现自己总是在天井，露天或者开放的露台包围的空间中，也会感受到来自道路、临近建筑及花园空间的不同的视觉体验。
In this way, the house works as a promenade, starting when you get off the car, or getting to the house walking, you almost always find yourself in places surrounded by patios, covered and open terraces, different views to the street, the neighbor’s constructions and garden areas.

底层平面通过主轴线分隔，形成了住宅不同的社交空间。一侧分布着电视房、浴室和服务空间，另一侧包含开放的起居空间、餐厅和厨房；然而上层仅包含了住宅的私密空间、卧室和私人书房。
The ground floor contains the different social areas of the house, divided by the main axis, on one side a TV room, a bathroom and the service area are placed, and the other side contains an open area with the living room, the dining room, and the kitchen, while the upper floor just contains the private areas of the house, the bedrooms and a private study room.

建筑主立面在不同层高上有着鲜明的对比：底层的立面完全采用黑色，从道路看来给人以比较封闭和安全的视觉感受，同时也反衬出上层空间。上层空间对于道路完全开放，并且总是与道路上的茂密植被紧密联系。
A marked contrast is given to the main façade between the different levels of the house; a black finish is given to the lower floor to give a more closed and secured view of the house from the street, emphasizing the upper floor, that is fully opened to the street and always in touch with the dense vegetation of the street.

建筑立面的几何形状强调了住宅不同室内空间之间的独立性，通过在材料、色彩和纹理的变化，创建了旋板和墙体的削减，产生了不同的沿街立面、天井和庭院。
The geometry of the facades emphasize the independence of different interior areas of the house, which through some change in materials, colors, and textures, create vanes and wall cuts causing the different views of the street, the patios, and the backyard.
