The proposal for the regeneration of Piazzale degli Alpini in Bergamo, northern Italy, aims to transform an abandoned area into a complex ecosystem capable to redefine traditional categories such as nature vs. city, interior vs. exterior, individual vs. Collective.
最终方案是一个个小型场所的荟萃——每一个场所都有着自己的功能——在这里建筑就像是一个媒介。
The end result is a constellation of micro-spaces –each one with its own functions– where architecture works as a medium among distinct agents.
The existing vegetation is preserved and integrated into the design of the new square. All around the trees and other plant species, different covered spaces host multiple facilities: market, areas for concerts and manifestations, bar, restaurant, info-centre, multimedia point.
如果广场的平面配置明显的同类和连续，其建筑体量的整合表达了复杂性和片段化。
If the planimetric configuration of the square is apparently homogeneous and continuous, its volumetric articulation expresses complexity and fragmentation.
自然、城市和建筑可以在一个混合环境中共存。
Nature, city and architecture can coexist within a hybrid environment.
