“Domes国际建筑评论”机构继其ROOM18项目——新型城市酒店(2016年4至11月)之后,又启动了COOK8项目:新型餐饮场所。“COOK8”项目包括四项活动(比赛、会议、展览、出版),目的是制定和实施新的思路,为食物逐渐社会化的消费作出准备。
竞赛:
该项目以国际设计大赛(2017年11月21日 -2018年2月8日)的形式开始启动,竞赛内容是设计一个面积24-30平方米的8人室内用餐空间。主办方寻求的是对传统的建筑和管理安排的餐饮场所(私人或公共餐厅、商业餐厅、咖啡厅、自助餐厅、小吃店、快餐店、食堂等)的功能进行创造性的重新解读,并且探索新的发展思路。
本次竞赛将颁发三个奖项(每个2000欧元)和六个荣誉提名。三项获奖作品的模型将在贝纳基(Benaki)博物馆展览(比例1:1)。
建筑设计、室内设计、艺术装置、舞台设计、装饰及相关活动领域的人员均有资格参加竞赛。

Domes International Review of Architecture, following the program ROOM18: The New Urban Hotel (April – November 2016), are launching the program COOK8: The New Dining Place. COOK8 consists of four actions (Competition – Conference – Exhibition – Publication) which aim to formulate and implement new ideas about the gathering of people on the occasion of the preparation and consumption of food as means of socialization.
Competition:
The program begins with an International Design Competition (21.11.2017 – 08.02.2018), about the design of an interior dining space for 8 people, of an area of 24-30m2. What is looked for is the creative re-interpretation and overtaking of the usual approaches which are a function of the conventional building and management arrangements of catering premises (private or communal dining-room, commercial restaurant, café, cafeteria, snack-bar, fast food outlet, canteen, etc.).
Three prizes (2,000€each) and six honorable memos will be awarded. The three awarded entries will be realised on full scale (1:1), at the Benaki Museum.
Everyone active in the fields of architectural design, interior design, art installations, stage design, decoration and related activities is qualified to take part in the competition.

On the occasion of the International Design Competition COOK8, a series of talks on the relationship between architecture and food will take place. In particular, it will be discussed how people are relating through food production and consumption. The subject will be considered in the light of architecture, history, anthropology and art.

Exhibition:

After the end of the competition the exhibition COOK8: The New Dining Place will be held at the Benaki Museum. The exhibition will include all the entries submitted in the competition. Also exhibited will be the three awarded entries realised in full scale (1:1).

Finally, a selection of entries in the light of the jury’s evaluation as well as evaluation notes on the competition by the members of the jury will be included in the publication COOK8: The New Dining Place.
Organisation:
Domés, through its multifarious activities, aims to have an on-going dialogue be¬tween the Greek and the international architectural reality. COOK8 is the 5th International Competition by Domés and the 2nd part of the programme Domés 1:1. The 1st part was ROOM18: The New Urban Hotel (April – November 2016), which attracted 262 submissions, by 580 contributors, from 17 countries.
