来自专筑编辑郝旭楠，vigo的报道。设计方法：瑞驰麦建筑事务所重新诠释临近建筑的原有设计手法。周边的大部分住宅是建于十九世纪20年代至50年代之间，因此建筑师不得不倾向于是用例如灰泥等传统材料及整体规划。在仅仅一层的房子中，起居室和餐厅区域的推拉门直接面向外面，同时卧室被安排到位于后方的长长的L型区域中。

Solution: Architectural designers, The Ranch Mine, re-interpreted the original architectural approach of the neighborhood. Since the majority of the residences were built between the 1920s and 1950s, the designers had to adhere to traditional materials, such as stucco, and overall massing. In the single-story house, sliding doors open the living and dining areas to the outside, while bedrooms are grouped in a longer wing of the L-shaped plan.

结构和材料：为了使建筑中能源有效利用，建筑师使用了LED灯，南北面开窗，用木框架结合钢筋混凝土现浇施工做法。大的挑檐为玻璃门遮蔽阳光，当然它通过通风为建筑降温。考虑到材质本身的低维护性，室内材质选择了石英和胡桃木胶合板。

Construction and materials: To keep the house energy efficient, the designers used LED lights, north/south facing windows, and a wood frame combined with reinforced poured-in-place concrete construction. Large overhangs shade the glass doors, which provide cross ventilation to cool the house. Interior materials include quartz and walnut plywood, chosen for their low maintenance characteristics.
