the main building mass is elevated over the site by a large-span structural system that not only provides flexible exhibition space, but also presents visitors with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. the distinctive appearance of the museum is composed of vertical structural tubes set at different heights – a linear elevation derived from the reeds that occupy the site.
