Architects Hélène Pinaud and Julien Schwartzmann who teamed up to form studio Heju in 2015, completed their first project for French clothing brand Des Petits Hauts. They have refurbished a little courtyard in the heart of the eleventh district of Paris, which receives exclusive customers each summer. Presented with a small budget, the creative duo decided to build upon the existing space by exposing the original brick walls and adding new contemporary features to the plot.
建筑师使用了斑驳的粉红色、淡黄色和明亮的粉红色的瓷砖/The architects have used mottled pink, pistachio green, and bright pink tiling
They imagined a raised platform which included a seating area where people could meet and enrol in creative activities. The courtyard is characterized by pastel pink and pistachio green tiling which covers the floor and part of the wall. This highlights the comfortable space which features a large table and bench which is also covered in tiles. Japanese stone steps, pebbled flooring and potted plants separates the entrance to this small gathering place, creating a peaceful secluded spot for visitors to enjoy.
